Supervision:
The best way to tackle burnout and compassion fatigue is preventing it!
Sometimes when you are working in the helping profession it can be hard to remember to look after yourself and your own wellbeing. Taking regular time out to reflect on the impact the work is having on you is important and a kind act that you can do for yourself.
I provide clinical individual and group supervision to those working in the helping professions such as health and education professionals, social workers, counsellors, coaches etc.
A safe confidential space geared towards your needs and looking after you.
An opportunity to bounce ideas around using coaching techniques to come up with options that work best for you.
A creative and nurturing style, there is also usually a bit of laughter!
I would love to work with you – please get in touch!

Coaching
Coaching gives you the opportunity to focus on the things that are important to you. Together we come up with achievable practical steps to take to that work for you.
I have 17 years’ experience as a qualified coach. I focus on the here and now, supporting individuals with a range of issues in and outside of work. I draw on up-to-date research about executive functioning skills and the nervous system to help people to take the right actions for them and help manage stress.
My experience, knowledge and qualifications cover family therapy, neurodiversity, women’s health issues and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). This means I can be flexible and creative in my coaching style – we might look at barriers to success and working out strategies to overcome them, organisational skills, and coping mechanisms for stress.
I now work regularly with neurodivergent adults. Previously as a Specialist Mentor I supported students with additional needs. This involved working with the individual at their pace looking particularly strategic skills and using assistive technology. I was awarded Specialist Mentor of the Year by Beacon Support for this work.

My philosophy and experience is that it is really powerful for employees to have an independent, external person to talk to about the concerns and challenges of their role and to work towards self-development. Staff get the opportunity to speak to me independently about any stresses or challenges that they are dealing with that might be impacting on how they are feeling in work. As it is not one-off, it reduces any risk of stress building up and feelings of ‘I can’t cope’.
Topics covered in sessions can be :
Reflecting on individual learning styles and working with staff to identify their strengths and problem solving any barriers to success.
Current issues to do with customers / clients / staff and how to tackle them
Broader issues in the workplace – any changes coming up, team dynamics etc.
